Important Livefood Shipping Information
Thank you for choosing to shop with Davy's Pets to feed your reptiles, amphibians and all others.
While we will always try to pick the freshest packs of livefood that we can for you and pack them to the best of our ability, it is unfortunately inevitable that there will be some packages that will experience some issues. Delays, damage to packages, failed delivery attempts etc. are rare but do unfortunately happen. Below is some information to help you get the freshest livefood possible, and some general liability information.
- Orders placed between Monday-Thursday before 1pm will be processed same day for expected next day delivery. Any orders placed after 1pm will be packed the following day for expected next day delivery.
- Orders placed after courier pickup Thursday-Sunday will be processed the following Monday. This is in effort to try and minimise travel time and ensure freshness.
- Weather can play a huge factor in ensuring healthy livefood deliveries. The recommended temperatures for most livefood is 15-24 degrees celsius. Prolonged exposure to temperatures outside that range can often result in livefood being delivered DOA. Ordering livefood during weather outside the above range is done at your own risk. We will not be held responsible for any weather related issues to livefood.
- Public holidays, bank holidays and seasonally busy times of the year for couriers will sometimes interrupt regular service causing delays. January sales, Christmas, Black Friday, Cyber Monday among others are peak times for all courier services. Delays during these times are more likely than ever, so where possible, try to plan your livefood around these times. Ordering during peak times for courier companies is done at your own risk. We will not be held responsible for any delay related issues for livefood.
Should there be any issues with your livefood regarding quality or delivery that falls outside anything previously mentioned, we would request that you take some clear pictures that shows the issue and forwarding them to us with a detailed description on the day you receive your package, we will do our best to work with you to find a solution.
Sometimes we can experience issues of our own regarding the quality, punctuality and packing of our livefood deliveries from our suppliers. If any of these issues would affect you having an order already placed with us, we will try our hardest to contact you to reach a solution before shipping. In the event that we cannot get in contact with you, we will try to substitute with something similar provided we have the stock.
