Shipping policy

Thank you for choosing to shop with Davy's Pets. Below is some information regarding the shipping of products, what products are considered to be fragile and how it affects your order. By proceeding with an order from our website, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

Delivery is currently a flat rate of €8. Maximum box weight is 30kg, and maximum box size is 48". If the items you require are outside these limits, please contact us and we will do our best to find a delivery solution for you. We use our couriers next day delivery service, we will do our best to have your order prepared for delivery same day once the order is placed and confirmed before 1pm. Example - An order placed and confirmed Monday 11am will be packed and passed over to couriers same day to be delivered Tuesday. Any order confirmed after 1pm will be packed for the following days delivery. Example - An order placed and confirmed Monday 2pm will be passed over to couriers on Tuesday, to be delivered on Wednesday.

Orders placed over weekends and bank holidays will be packed and sent the next regular full working day.

Delays can sometimes occur for various reasons that we have no control over. We will not be held responsible for any delays or results of delays once the item ordered has been handed over to couriers. Bank holidays, public holidays, seasonally busy times of the year such as January sales, Christmas etc. will greaten the chance of delays due to the massive workload on courier services. 

We will only ship livefood from Monday - Thursday 1pm. Any order for livefood placed after Thursday 1pm will be shipped the following Monday. This is to try and allow for any delays and to try ensure you get the freshest bugs possible. We do not and will not deliver live animals using our regular courier service. If you would like to enquire about having an animal delivered, we can arrange for a fully licensed and insured animal courier to deliver to your door. Please send us a message or call us if you require an animal to be delivered and we will help as best we can.

Fragile, frozen and perishable goods are ordered at your own risk. Items considered fragile would include items made entirely of, predominantly using or containing glass. Such items as bulbs/lamps, vivariums, aquariums, heaters. Frozen items would include all frozen reptile, raptor, dog, cat and fish products. Perishable goods would include all livefood, springtails, isopods etc. Should you order any fragile, frozen or perishable item, we will pack it as best we can for shipping however once collected by couriers we will no longer be held accountable for said item(s). Should you have any queries about an item being fragile or not, please don't hesitate to ask before ordering and we will be happy to help!

Delivery/shipping charges are currently as low as we can make them but are subject to change. We use mainly recycled materials for our boxes, packing material etc. The only time we will increase shipping/delivery charges is if the cost increases on our end be it packing materials or courier charges. Any changes made to the price of shipping are subject to change without notice, although every effort will be made to update this website as soon as any change is made.

Should you need to report any issues regarding your order once delivered, you can contact us however suits you best. We recommend taking some clear images displaying the issue.
